Courtesy Pay

It happens to the best of us. You do your math wrong or a deposit doesn’t arrive on time. Well, we have got the solution for you!

Altonized offers Courtesy Pay as a convenience to protect you against high fees and the embarrassment associated with a “bounced check” or having your purchases declined.

How Courtesy Pay Works

Rather than automatically returning your overdraft items or being declined when trying to make a purchase, Altonized will authorize and pay your “reasonable” overdraft as long as you maintain your account in good standing and meet the other requirments.

Standard Overdraft Practices

Altonized does authorize and pay overdrafts for checks and ACH transactions. We do not authorize and pay overdrafts on everyday debit card transactions unless you give us consent by signing an opt in form (PDF-new window/tab).

What Courtesy Pay Costs

There is no monthly fee for Courtesy Pay! You only pay if and when you actually use it. A $27.00 Courtesy Pay fee applies each time we pay an overdraft. Having Courtesy Pay does not guarantee that Altonized will pay your overdrafts. If we decide to pay an overdraft, you will be charged a fee as described above. However, if we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined or returned.

For further information on Courtesy Pay, check out the Frequently Asked Questions page (PDF-new window/tab) or contact the credit union.

*$27.00 Standard Courtesy Pay fee applies for each insufficient fund item paid and created by check writing, ACH transactions, and Debit Card transactions. The amount of any overdraft(s) plus Courtesy Pay fees are due and payable upon notification from Altonized and must be paid in full within 10 days. ACFCU’s Courtesy Pay service is non-contractual and discretionary. We reserve the right to solely approve Courtesy Pay for member accounts in good standing and may limit the number of eligible accounts to one per household. ACFCU has the right to cancel Courtesy Pay anytime and without notice.
